EWIS RAT Patented!

Lectromec recently received notification that the EWIS RAT and associated technologies have received a patent through the US Patent Office.

Lectromec looks forward to advancing these technologies to provide increased analysis capabilities for both new and existing aircraft systems.

Lectromec at the Aging Aircraft Conference

Lectromec presented a paper at the 2009 Aging Aircraft Conference on "Arcing Damage to Aircraft Components and Wire at a Distance". This will be posted on here within the next month.

Special Test Equipment

The design of specialized test equipment is a very delicate process requiring time, effort, and an attention to details, and the staff at Lectromec is able to do all of this. Test equipment designed and built by Lectromec can be found in the laboratories of a number of well known and respected companies around the world. Lectromec has been designing high quality special test equipment for a number of years, always with the desires of the customer taking priority. With an experienced staff knowledgeable in a wide variety of fields, detailed and efficient design on any equipment can be done. Since most of the work is done in house, this leads to a lower cost and a relatively rapid deployment of the equipment.

The equipment designed by Lectromec often exceeds the parameters that are requested by our customers. Lectromec reliability procedures are closely followed to ensure that all equipment developed meets the highest standards of reliability and workmanship.

We have spent a number of years handling and building high voltage test equipment. If there is a specialty piece of equipment that you would like designed and built, please contact us and we will evaluate the feasibility to building the item.

The Newest Addition to Lectromec's STE Product Line

Lectromec now offers the LEC1001 Arc Track Test Unit designed for operation of 6 simultaneous circuits for your wet arc track testing needs. If you are looking to start or expand your arc track wire testing capabilities, this system can be used to dramatically increase your testing throughput and reduce associated labor costs.

The LEC1001 is a state of the art system meeting the requirements of both BSS7324H Section 7.4 and the newest SAE arc track specification. A description of the unit and capabilities can be found in this broacher.

Looking for a Portable Arc Demonstration Kit?

Lectromec has built arc demonstration kits which can be used to show the scale of damage that can be caused by arcing. Typically, these have gone to military organizations for training pilots and mechanics the dangers of arcing wires. It also provides an affective means of training why one should not reset circuit protection devices without paying attention to the circuit/wiring. These can useful for any training program

For Those Fabricating or Testing Electrical Insulation

Lectromechanical Design Company now offers test sets that are capable of meeting the specification outlined in Standard Test Method for High Voltage, Low-Current, Dry Arc Resistance of Solid Electrical Insulation (ID: ASTM D 495 -99). You can add value to the products your company produces by proving that your materials are safe at a variety of conditions which are of particular interest to those building aircraft, power plants, or more standard consumer goods.
